Ingredients for 4 people
Barely, wheat, chickpeas, and red/kidney beans (half cup each)
Carrots, onions, and turnips: 1 medium each
Mint, rosemary, oregano, and turmeric half ts
Crushed ginger & garlic ½ ts
Salt: as needed
3 -4 times a week
Cooking instruction
Soak barley, wheat, chickpeas, and red/kidney beans overnight. Wash the mixture and slow cook it for 2-3 hours. Add carrots, onions, turnips, & ginger and cook for another 5 minutes. Just before serve add dry/fresh mint, rosemary, oregano, and garlic and serve it with 1 ts of olive oil.
