THE DRINK RECIPES

SUMAC DRINK

Mix a teaspoon of Sumac into a glass of water.

GINGER AND LEMON DRINK

A piece of ginger, one small lemon & honey (or brown sugar). Put into a small pan, add water and boil for 10 – 15 minutes.

THE FOOD RECIPES

BARLEY SOUP

Ingredients for 4 people

Barely, wheat, chickpeas, and red/kidney beans (half cup each)

Carrots, onions, and turnips: 1 medium each

Mint, rosemary, oregano, and turmeric half ts

Crushed ginger & garlic ½ ts

Salt: as needed

3 -4 times a week

Cooking instruction

Soak barley, wheat, chickpeas, and red/kidney beans overnight. Wash the mixture and slow cook it for 2-3 hours. Add carrots, onions, turnips, & ginger and cook for another 5 minutes. Just before serve add dry/fresh mint, rosemary, oregano, and garlic and serve it with 1 ts of olive oil.

Benefits: boost immunity against viral infection such as corona, lower the cholesterol and protects Intestine. 

Barley soup with vegetables and herbs is a delicious and nutritious food to warm up the body and help digestion.

LAMB STEW

Ingredients for 4 people

Bone-in lamb shank/neck ½ kilo

Chickpeas, and red/kidney beans (half cup each)

Small potatoes 4

Medium onion 1

Dried Persian lime 2

Ground turmeric, fine sea salt and freshly ground black pepper as needed

Grated garlic and ginger ½ ts each

2-3 times a week. 

Cooking instruction

Soak chickpeas, and red/kidney beans overnight. Wash the mixture and slow cook it with the onion, dried Persian lime and potatoes for 2-3 hours. Add the grated garlic, ginger, salt, turmeric, and black pepper and let it to boil. Leave it for 2-4 minutes and then serve it with Lebanese or Persian bread.

Benefits: It is easy to digest; the broth lubricates the intestines and facilitates the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, strengthens the immune system, cleanses the liver, spleen, and kidneys

TAHINI & GRAPE (DATE) SYRUP

Tahini & grape (date) syrup can be purchased from middle eastern supermarkets. You can add 2-1 unit of tahini and syrup, which is 2 ts of tahini and 1ts syrup or 4 ts of tahini and 2 ts of the syrup. It’s great for breakfast or as snake if you need to boost your daily energy.

For breakfast/dinner, 3-4 times a week.

Benefits: It is rich in vitamins A, B and C and contains iron, magnesium, phosphorus, and calcium. strengthening the nerves and immune systems, cures chronic cough, epilepsy, excessive weight loss, it’s anti-inflammatory. regulating blood pressure, hormone levels, arterial health, and cholesterol levels.

 

Tahini & grape (date) syrup helps with rheumatic pain, weakness of the nerves, arterial and venous diseases, depression, and high cholesterol.

BOOSTER POTION

The below potion strengthens the body’s immune system, relieve stress. and strengthen the lungs:

Mix 3 ts of coriander seeds. hollyhocks flower with 6 ts of chamomile flower and half crush them using a blender. Add some honey to the mixture.

Method of Use:

– In adults with average well – being, to strengthen their immune system take 1 ts in the morning and at night with warm water half an hour before a meal.

– Cold-blooded people with weak immune system should also reduce consumption of acidic food such as dairy and pork products, alcoholic beverages, fast food, etc and walk for half an hour a day.
