For a person with big dreams and unachieved goals, acquiring a large sum of money can be the ultimate goal and greatest desire. However, people can be categorized into two groups: dreamers and illusionists. Dreamers are creators. Just about every exceptional innovation started off as a dream. Dreams can be changed and modified.
My father influenced the entirety of my childhood and teen life. He started his journey by joining the army. He was a young, strong and good-looking man, and devoted to serving the people and land that he loved the most.
But his burning desire to serve and protect what was so meaningful to him turned to ashes when he saw the ugly truth behind the beautiful messages of love, security, devotion and protection for both his loved ones and precious land.
Just as those dreams came to an end, he met my mother, the most beautiful and intelligent woman that he ever met. They married, and he soon became a father of seven children. He had an incredible thirst for knowledge, so our home was full of bookcases stuffed with hundreds of incredible books, articles, newspapers and journals.
He was a master of speech and an extraordinary writer. The power of his speech and writing were more powerful than any media or communication tool I’d ever seen.
Every night was educational. We would gather in the hall and listen to my dad talk. He encouraged us to express ourselves by making comments on his words or to talk about our own subjects. Every day, I couldn’t wait for night to come, so the family could gather and I would get more of the incredible value that would go on to shape my future
But life is not always kind. What comes next still makes me burst into tears, even many years after the incident. The difference between feeling like the luckiest kid in the world and suddenly losing the most precious thing in my life was a trauma that took place overnight. My dad had a heart attack and died before he reached the hospital. When night came, I went up to the hall and waited for my dad to come. I refused to believe he’s gone. For years, every night I went there and waited for him. Later, I left. Not only did I leave my home, but I also left my country. I went to university and graduated with a degree in mathematics, which was always my favourite subject in school. I continued my education and graduated with a master’s degree in science and technology, and then pursued a doctorate of philosophy in science and engineering. But I didn’t fill fulfilled. Despite my attempts to become an outdating person and fill the big gap in my life that was left behind by my father, I was still just an average person.
Stroke of a Dream!
However, life had another bargain for me. Ever since my great loss, I always kept searching for something to soothe my sorrows.
A few months ago, I had an idea. It was an impulse of mind, but it was so powerful that I gave up my high-paying academic job and put full-time efforts into achieving this dream. The idea came to me while I was reading an article about global warming and the fear that humanity is using up all of its natural resources. A solution arose in my mind in the form of preserving these scarce physical resources by switching to virtualization. Many high costs, high maintenance goods can easily be reduced or replaced by virtual products. I knew this idea was huge and could change entire industrial sectors.
After forming a team of engineers and designers, as well as months of working and educating myself in this field, I know we’re still not quite there yet. Our progress is steady but slow due to the lack of funds and resources. This is a new line of work and there is plenty room for improvement. I welcome all dreamers who want to make the world a better place, the way great inventors like Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell and Albert Einstein did. I also welcome all technical and financial support toward a greater achievement.
